AB 309 — Electronic Ballots and Electronic Disbursements

Assembly Bill 309 amended NRS 116.31034, 116.31036, 116.31068, 116.311, 116.31105, and 116.31153 to modernize association elections and treasury operations. It authorized electronic ballots for the election and removal of executive-board members, with the corresponding secrecy and delivery requirements, and it permitted associations to make disbursements by electronic transfer where the executive board has authorized the method and the association maintains internal accounting controls that comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Effective October 1, 2023.
