Summary

SB 410 (Grayson, 2025) amended the Davis-Stirling Common Interest Development Act. Among other changes, it amended Cal. Civ. Code §4525 so the resale disclosure package an association provides to a prospective purchaser must include a copy of the most recent exterior elevated element (balcony, deck, walkway) inspection report prepared under Cal. Civ. Code §5551. It also defined the inspection sample statistically, required a first-page report summary, and extended report retention to two inspection cycles. Approved October 10, 2025; effective January 1, 2026.
