Alabama Homeowners' Association Act — Applicability
Applies to all residential developments with a recorded declaration providing for a homeowners' association, recorded on or after January 1, 2016. Pre-2016 associations may elect governance under this chapter by a majority vote of members. Does NOT apply to commercial/industrial/nonresidential developments, condominiums regulated under Chapter 8 or 8A, real estate cooperatives, time-shares, or campgrounds.
