You will check CommunityPay's control claims against evidence and report what you find. It is a review of a production financial system, and the findings are yours.
What you will do
- Build a claims-to-evidence matrix: each control claim, the mechanism behind it, the evidence, and a verdict.
- Write a short controls narrative that a bank or an insurer could read.
- Meet with the founder to review your findings as you go.
Terms
- Paid at $60 an hour, for up to 40 hours, over up to three months, on a schedule you set.
- Paid in two milestones, one for each deliverable.
- Compatible with coursework or another internship.
- Governed by a signed confidentiality and work-product agreement, signed before any access.
What you work from
- An evidence pack and a read-only demo book
- Plain-language documentation of each control
You do not receive source code or production data.
What you leave with
- A written deliverable and direct experience reviewing a production ledger.
- Credit by name, with your consent, and a reference if the work earns it.
- Findings that are yours. We do not edit them.
What we look for
- A background in systems engineering, computer science, accounting, finance, or mathematics
- Comfort reading evidence and asking why a control works
- Curiosity, which matters more than experience
